Education

:

An Associate's Degree or Certificate in Drafting, CAD Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field is common.

Certifications from organizations like Autodesk, Coursera for AutoCAD Professional or Sketchup will be considered as an advantage.

Technical Skills (Advanced Proficiency)

is expected to be proficient in CAD or Sketchup software and a specialist in your field.

3D Modeling & Rendering: Ability to create and manipulate complex 3D models and potentially perform basic rendering.

Experience and Soft Skills

Five years of experience means you can work independently and collaborate effectively. Having GCC experience will be considered an asset but is not mandatory.

Project Experience: Experience with complex, large-scale projects and the ability to manage multiple drawing tasks simultaneously.

Independent Work: Ability to produce high-quality, complex drawings with

minimal supervision.

Interpretation: The ability to independently read, interpret, and translate complex engineering sketches, specifications, and design data into accurate, detailed, final drawings.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies or potential design/structural issues.

Collaboration: Effective communication skills for coordinating and collaborating with engineers, project managers, and sometimes clients.

Key Responsibilities

Use CAD software or Sketchup software to produce detailed drawings based on client specifications.

Revise and Update drawings: Review and modify existing drawings to meet project specifications and standards, ensuring all necessary information is included.

Gather data and verify that design specifications are being met during the construction or production process.

Organize and manage project files, including drawings, revisions, and technical documentation.
