Draftsman

Reporting To:

Design Manager / Project Engineer / Architect

1. Objective:

To produce accurate and detailed technical drawings, plans, and schematics based on specifications, sketches, or verbal instructions, supporting the design and execution of construction, engineering, or manufacturing projects.

2. Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed 2D and/or 3D drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, etc.). Translate design concepts and technical information into clear construction or fabrication drawings. Assist in developing layouts, elevations, sections, and detail drawings. Revise and update drawings as directed, ensuring all modifications are documented. Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other team members to resolve design and detailing issues. Maintain drawing logs, records, and ensure version control. Ensure drawings comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements. Conduct on-site measurements or attend site meetings when required. Support the preparation of shop drawings, as-built drawings, and bill of quantities (BOQs), if applicable. Coordinate with external consultants, contractors, or vendors as required.

3. Deliverables:

Complete set of technical drawings (plans, sections, elevations, details). Updated drawing revisions with revision history. As-built drawings (if applicable). CAD and PDF files per project standards. Drawing register or transmittal documentation.

4. Skills and Tools:

Proficiency in drafting software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) Understanding of design principles, building codes, and technical specifications. Attention to detail and accuracy in drafting. Ability to interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, or electrical schematics depending on domain. Strong communication and time management skills.

5. Exclusions:

Final design or engineering responsibility (unless qualified and explicitly authorized). Project management duties (unless otherwise specified). On-site supervision or inspection duties (unless required for drawing verification).

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
