Role Overview

The AutoCAD Draughtsman will be responsible for preparing detailed lighting layouts, shop drawings, and technical documentation for lighting projects. The role requires accuracy, creativity, and strong knowledge of lighting design standards to support project execution and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

:

Prepare detailed

2D drawings, shop drawings, and layouts

for lighting projects using AutoCAD. Develop

lighting design layouts, installation drawings, and wiring diagrams

as per project specifications. Coordinate with the

design, sales, and project teams

to ensure drawings meet client requirements. Assist in creating

as-built drawings

after project completion. Ensure all drawings comply with

industry standards, lighting codes, and company guidelines

. Maintain drawing records and documentation for all ongoing and completed projects. Provide technical support to project/site teams related to drawings and layouts. Modify and update drawings based on

client or consultant feedback

. Support in preparing

presentations and layouts

for project proposals.

Skills & Competencies

:

Proficiency in

AutoCAD (2D essential, 3D preferred)

. Knowledge of

lighting products, electrical layouts, and installation methods

. Ability to interpret architectural and MEP drawings. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management. Knowledge of

lighting design software (e.g., Dialux, Relux)

is an added advantage. Good communication and coordination skills.

Requirements

:

Diploma / ITI in Electrical Engineering or Drafting (Bachelor's Degree preferred). 2-4 years of experience as AutoCAD Draughtsman, preferably in the

lighting, MEP, or construction field

. Familiarity with lighting standards and electrical drawing conventions. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). UAE experience and Driving License (preferred but not mandatory).
