Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing technical drawings, blueprints, and layouts for a variety of projects. The draftsman will work closely with engineers, architects, and designers to ensure that the drawings meet all necessary specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Drawings

: Create accurate and detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and plans for construction, manufacturing, or production purposes.

Collaboration

: Work closely with engineers, architects, and other team members to understand project requirements and ensure the design meets specifications.

CAD Software Proficiency

: Use CAD software (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) to draft, revise, and finalize designs.

Documentation

: Maintain and update project files, ensuring that all drawings are accurately labeled, dated, and filed.

Design Revisions

: Revise and modify existing drawings based on feedback from project stakeholders or changes in design plans.

Quality Assurance

: Ensure all drawings adhere to project specifications, codes, and industry standards.

Coordination

: Coordinate with other departments to ensure drawings integrate correctly with other project components (e.g., structural, electrical, or mechanical).

Compliance

: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and other relevant standards during the drafting process.

Required Skills and Qualifications

:

Educational Background

: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or certification in drafting, architecture, or engineering is preferred.

Experience

: Proven experience as a draftsman or in a similar role (e.g., architectural draftsman, mechanical drafter).

CAD Skills

: Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or similar tools).

Attention to Detail

: Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality drawings.

Communication Skills

: Good verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with project teams and other stakeholders.

Problem-Solving Abilities

: Ability to analyze design problems and develop solutions.

Time Management

: Ability to prioritize tasks and work within deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

:

Certification in drafting or CAD software. Experience in a specific industry (e.g., architecture, civil engineering, mechanical engineering). Knowledge of building codes and construction standards.

Working Conditions

:

Full-time position, Monday to Friday (with possible overtime during peak periods). Office-based environment with the potential for site visits if required.
