Overview:

We are seeking a versatile and skilled Draftsman to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible in creating detailed drawings and plans for furniture projects. This position requires a blend of organizational expertise, technical drafting skills, and a deep understanding of furniture manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate production schedules and workflows for furniture projects, ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards are maintained. Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD for joinery projects based on client requirements and architectural drawings. Collaborate closely with architects, designers, and clients to understand project specifications and translate them into accurate technical drawings. Review designs for compliance with building codes, regulations, and quality standards. Modify drawings based on feedback from clients, engineers, and production teams to ensure feasibility and accuracy during fabrication. Liaise with production teams to facilitate the smooth implementation of designs and address any design-related issues that may arise. Maintain organized documentation of all drawings, revisions, and project communications. Provide technical expertise and guidance to production teams to ensure efficient and high-quality furniture.

Qualifications:

Preferably with experience in furniture manufacturing. Strong proficiency in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD or similar programs, for creating detailed technical drawings. Solid understanding of furniture manufacturing techniques, materials, and construction methods. Ability to interpret architectural drawings and translate them into precise furniture drawings. Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams. Diploma or degree in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
