Key Responsibilities

Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by sanding, masking, priming, and cleaning. Mix, match, and apply paints, varnishes, and finishes according to specifications. Operate spray guns and other painting equipment safely and efficiently. Apply protective coatings (primer, clear coat, etc.) for durability and finish quality. Inspect painted surfaces for defects, touch up as required, and ensure quality control. Maintain painting tools, spray booths, and equipment in good working condition. Follow health, safety, and environmental regulations (use of PPE, disposal of materials). Coordinate with body repair technicians to ensure smooth workflow. Record work performed, paint usage, and job completion times. Deliver vehicles with a high-quality finish, meeting customer satisfaction and workshop standards.

Qualifications & Skills

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in automotive painting preferred. Minimum

2-3 years of experience

as an Automotive Painter in a workshop/Bodyshop. Strong knowledge of paint mixing, application techniques, and refinishing processes. Familiarity with different paint systems (water-based, solvent-based, etc.). Ability to identify and correct paint defects (runs, orange peel, dust spots, etc.). Good attention to detail and quality focused. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physically fit to perform manual tasks and stand for long periods.
