Job Summary

The Auto Painter is responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing vehicles to a high-quality standard. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of automotive paint processes.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, masking, filling dents, and applying primers. Mix, match, and apply paint to vehicles using spray guns and other tools. Perform touch-ups, full body paint, and color blending as required. Inspect painted surfaces for quality, ensuring smooth and even finishes. Follow proper drying, curing, and polishing procedures. Maintain painting tools, spray guns, and equipment in good condition. Ensure safety standards are followed when using chemicals and paint materials. Coordinate with workshop supervisors and team members for job completion. Keep records of paint usage and job details.

Requirements

Minimum

2+ years of experience

as an Auto Painter. Strong knowledge of paint mixing, color matching, and surface preparation. Ability to operate spray guns, sanders, polishers, and other tools. Familiarity with different types of paints (base coat, clear coat, enamel, etc.). Good eye for detail and color precision. Ability to work in a fast-paced workshop environment. Physically fit and able to stand for long periods.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in automotive service centers or body shops. Knowledge of denting work is an advantage.
