Job Description

Core Roles and Responsibilities



Vehicle Inspection

Diagnose vehicle issues using diagnostic tools and software. Perform routine vehicle inspections (e.g., brakes, engines, tires).

Maintenance Services

Conduct scheduled maintenance services (e.g., oil changes, tire rotations). Replace worn parts like brake pads, belts, and filters.

Mechanical Repairs

Repair or replace damaged parts (e.g., transmission systems, suspension). Address engine performance issues (e.g., overheating, misfiring).

Electrical System Work

Diagnose and repair electrical issues (e.g., battery, lighting, alternator). Install or replace electronic components (e.g., sensors, onboard computers).

Customer Interaction

Discuss vehicle problems and repair options with customers. Provide cost estimates and timelines for repairs.

Testing and Quality Control

Test vehicles before and after repairs to ensure proper functioning. Ensure all repairs meet safety and quality standards.

Record Keeping

Document work performed and parts used. Maintain service records for future reference.

Compliance and Safety

Follow safety protocols and use protective equipment. Comply with environmental regulations and proper disposal of hazardous materials.

Diesel Mechanic

- Specializes in trucks and heavy-duty diesel engines.

Transmission Specialist

- Focuses on diagnosing and repairing transmission systems.

Body Repair Technician

- Works on vehicle frames, body panels, and paint.
