Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled

Auto Electrician

with experience working on

both electric and fuel-powered vehicles

. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining the electrical systems of a wide range of vehicles, including electric vehicles (EVs), hybrid vehicles, and traditional fuel (petrol/diesel) vehicles. This role requires advanced knowledge of automotive electrical systems, including high-voltage systems used in EVs.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical and electronic systems in electric, hybrid, and fuel-powered vehicles. Work on high-voltage battery systems, electric drive units, charging systems, and control modules. Install and maintain wiring, lighting, sensors, alternators, starter motors, and other components. Use diagnostic tools to identify faults in both EVs and ICE vehicles. Perform electrical upgrades and installations of aftermarket accessories. Ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Maintain accurate service and repair records. Collaborate with mechanical technicians and engineers as needed. Stay updated with the latest automotive electrical technology, especially in the EV sector.

Requirements:

Certificate or diploma in Auto Electrical Technology or Automotive Engineering. Proven experience as an auto electrician, with hands-on work on EVs and ICE vehicles. In-depth understanding of vehicle electrical systems, including high-voltage EV systems. Familiarity with vehicle diagnostics tools such as OBD-II, scan tools, and EV-specific testers. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Safety-focused, especially when handling high-voltage systems. Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

OEM or manufacturer training in electric vehicles (Tesla, BYD, Toyota, etc.). Experience with hybrid vehicles and regenerative braking systems. Knowledge of CAN bus, LIN bus, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

Working Conditions:

Workshop and on-site environments. Exposure to high-voltage systems--strict adherence to safety protocols required. May require physical work, lifting, and extended hours as needed.
