Position Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and driven Audit Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in accounting or finance, with preference given to candidates holding a B.Com, M.Com, or MBA (Finance), or those who are CA qualified or semi-qualified. Professionals with an audit or taxation background are highly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

Audit Execution & Quality

Perform audit procedures in line with applicable auditing standards (ISA/SAs) to obtain sufficient, appropriate audit evidence. Ensure delivery of high-quality audit engagements with a strong focus on professional scepticism, ethics, and integrity. Demonstrate and promote a culture of audit quality throughout the team.
Engagement Management

Take ownership of audit files from planning to completion, including review note clearance and final close-out. Prepare and manage engagement-related documentation, including client deliverables and internal audit tools. Set up and manage timelines, team allocations, and audit execution plans.
Risk & Technical Analysis

Identify and document audit misstatements and evaluate them against materiality thresholds. Escalate critical issues or risks to senior team members promptly. Coordinate with specialists and assess the impact of their findings on the audit.
Client Communication & Team Collaboration

Maintain clear, professional communication with clients and internal teams. Participate in debrief sessions to gather insights and improve audit planning. Guide and mentor junior team members, contributing to team growth and knowledge sharing.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills

Education & Certifications

B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) CA qualified or semi-qualified (CA Final drop-outs are welcome)
Experience

Minimum 2 year of experience in external/statutory audit OR 2 years of experience in accounting with knowledge of IFRS
Technical Proficiency

Strong working knowledge of IFRS, IndAS, and International Standards on Auditing (ISA) Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Soft Skills

Excellent command of written and spoken English Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking Ability to work independently and under pressure Professional demeanor, integrity, and a team-oriented attitude
