Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible in managing and allocating AV Technicians on any jobs & projects related. Supervise the configuration and setting-up all Audio (Speakers, amps, audio mixers, FOH, all type of mics, monitor consoles, effect processors and etc.) Video (Vision mixers, projection systems, video system and formats, data/video switches, scalers, converters and etc.) and lighting system in all meetings and events arranged by the hotel as per Banquet Event Order. Ensuring that the Ballroom and Meeting rooms are up to its highest maintenance standard at all time. Contribute to guest satisfaction standards by ensuring that technical support services quickly address, and where possible, anticipate, individual needs. Ensure the safety and comfort of guests and that any requests for service are handled in a courteous and efficient manner. Communicate & Report to Asst. Resident Engineer and Engineering Director on the status of all projects assigned and important information to update within the area of responsibility. Manage maintenance work on a wide range of Audio Visual equipment and advice on the upgrade of the same. Attend to weekly Groups and BEO pre con Meeting and update Engineering management of the same. Supervise in Assembling and installing electrical wiring, fixtures, and AV equipment Respond promptly and efficiently to emergency calls Maintain all tools, equipment, and working areas to proper condition Supervising in setting up equipment according to Banquet Event Order Testing equipment before an event Finding and dealing with any faults as required Operating equipment during rehearsals and the event itself Supervising in checking and servicing the equipment Do regular training and advising AV Technicians on how to use the equipment for the effective and efficient operation of the same. Assessing a venue's AV equipment, and recommending or organizing upgrades when necessary. Assist the Director of Engineer and Resident Engineer on the effective financial management of the engineering department by setting maintenance budgets. Conduct periodic inspection tours to check work progress and maintenance condition of the meeting rooms and ball room. Provide performance evaluations regarding colleague probation periods, annual performance reviews, promotion or transfer consideration and salary reviews. Recommend changes or more efficient use of AV equipment, tests numerous products and equipment, new and those in use, to determine adaptability and suitability. Consistently sets high standards of quality. Team members demonstrate commitment to provide quality service, establishes and monitors procedures designed to measure quality, and recommends improvements based on experience and feedback obtained. Contribute to the hotel's profitability by ensuring the effective management & compliant of the building environmental controls and energy conservation systems. Evaluate, control and record energy usage and implement and upgrade energy conservation systems. Report to engineering management on the daily activities carried out by AV technicians in a daily basis. Any other duties as directed by the management
