Job Description
Job Summary:
The Assistant Waiter/Waitress supports the serving team in delivering excellent customer service by assisting with food and beverage service, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a smooth dining experience for guests.
Key Responsibilities: * Service Assistance:
- Assist waiters/waitresses in taking orders, serving food, and refilling beverages.
- Ensure timely delivery of meals and drinks to guests.
- Clear tables promptly and reset them for the next customers.
- Customer Interaction:
- Greet guests politely and respond to basic inquiries.
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
- Relay special requests (e.g., allergies, dietary restrictions) to the kitchen.
- Cleanliness & Setup:
- Maintain clean dining areas, including wiping tables and chairs.
- Assist in setting up tables with utensils, napkins, and condiments.
- Ensure side stations are stocked with glassware, cutlery, and trays.
- Team Support:
- Work closely with kitchen staff to coordinate orders.
- Help with opening/closing duties (e.g., folding napkins, refilling supplies).
- Report customer feedback or issues to senior staff.
- Compliance:
- Follow health, safety, and hygiene standards (e.g., food handling, sanitation).
- Adhere to restaurant policies and procedures.
