The Assistant Procurement Manager supports the Procurement Manager in sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating materials, equipment, and subcontract services to ensure projects are executed
on time, within budget, and as per approved specifications
.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in
day-to-day procurement activities
for ongoing projects
Prepare and issue
RFQs
, collect quotations, and conduct price comparisons
Coordinate with
vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors
Support in
negotiation and vendor evaluation
Ensure materials are procured as per
approved drawings, specifications, and schedules
Track
purchase orders
, deliveries, and material status
Coordinate with
project managers, site engineers, and storekeepers
for material requirements
Maintain
procurement records, vendor databases, and documentation
Assist in resolving
supply delays, shortages, and discrepancies
Ensure compliance with
company procurement procedures and policies
Support in cost-saving initiatives and
value engineering options
