As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be a core member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing and executing on a vision for how to grow the KYC/KYS business monumentally through new product innovation. We practice an agile, highly customer focused, and learning-based approach to product development that aims to bring new products to market in 9-12 months. You will be a part of the full feature development lifecycle, working closely with product squads to ensure that software applications and features are adequately tested and documented. These applications will draw on Moody’s Analytics unique and rich data sources to generate insights for innovative products that create a new standard in the KYC/KYS space. You bring a data-driven approach to problem solving and a passion for quality assurance in software, including experience in finding, investigating, and fixing bugs. Specifically, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Contribute to defining and implementing the overall QA strategy and processes
  • Work with product managers and engineers to map out QA use cases for the features being deployed within each sprint
  • Create workflows to support QA efforts for regression testing, feature testing, and bug validation
  • Own the tools and processes for test automation across our services
  • Support engineers in building automated test suites
  • Create and own KPIs related to code quality for the engineering team
  • Develop, enact, and manage testing schedules, ensuring that the QA team meets expectations and deadlines
Qualifications
  • 3-5+ years of experience working in an agile development environment
  • Preferred, but not mandatory: Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field
  • Strong programming skills in multiple languages such as Javascript or Python
  • Expertise building manual, automation, and regression quality assurance tests
  • Experience with developing test strategies, including writing test plans, test cases, custom tools, and testing architectures
  • Ability to investigate, debug and triage difficult problems both independently and cooperatively
  • Experience working on a collaborative product team passionate about Agile software processes, data-driven development, and experimentation
  • Experience with Git and codebase management
  • Excellent communication, listening, and influencing skills
  • Highly organized, creative, motivated, and passionate about achieving results
  • An enthusiasm for user-focused design & high-quality products

For Colorado-based roles only: the anticipated base salary range for this position is $ [86,500] to $ [125,500], depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for annual performance incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
