The College of Fine Arts and Design seeks a qualified candidate to teach full time courses in advanced history/theory/criticism, and curatorial practice, beginning January 2026.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES & EXPECTATIONS
Proven track record in teaching graduate-level courses and seminars
Active research and publication or art scholarship.
Contribution to practicum co-supervision.
Academically advise graduate students.
Engage in Program/Department and College assignments, activities, and events.
Participate in relevant professional activities to improve teaching and subject matter competence.
Serve on faculty committees as appointed or elected.
Lead efforts toward community engagement and other activities as assigned by the Department Chair or College Dean.
REQUIRED SKILLS
PhD/MFA degree with established record of academic performance and scholarly activities.
Preference given to candidates demonstrating:
Effective teaching skills and professional curatorial experience.
Solid experience in teaching and learning media & technology.
Ability to teach advanced research methods and theory courses.
Good record in research and/or artistic scholarly activities.
At least 5 years full time teaching experience in higher education institutions.
Excellent oral and written communication skills (in English).
Strong interpersonal skills towards effective professor-student interactions, both one-on-one (student interaction) and in group (seminar) sessions.
Sincere interest in assisting each student within a diverse and multi-cultural community to maximize their academic, spiritual and personal potential.
Team player that is motivated to strengthen and the department's advancement.
