The United Arab Emirates University invites applications for a faculty position (assistant/associate professor in the Department of Biology. The Department is seeking an outstanding faculty with a strong background and track record in the field of and/or within the interface between Cell and Molecular Biology and their related sub-areas. As the main duties, the selected candidate will be involved in teaching, service, and research activity in the department. For teaching, the candidate will be in charge of teaching diverse cell and molecular biology-related courses from our accredited cellular and molecular biology (CMB) curriculum and this for both undergraduate and graduate levels. Moreover, the successful applicant must have and to promote his/her research projects in the field of Cell and Molecular Biology in line with the department's priorities. For this, we strongly seek for more mechanistic-based research in animal and/or plant cell and molecular biology which should be tightly aligned with our CMB curriculum. Qualified candidates at all levels will be considered at a rank commensurate with academic accomplishments. Candidates are expected to have a strong commitment to teaching excellence and student advising at the undergraduate and graduate levels, a demonstrable research capability that will enable the candidate to develop and sustain an internally and/or externally funded research program in his/her area of expertise, publish his/her research findings in refereed journals, and actively engage in promoting the growth of the UAE University. Minimum Qualification
Applicants must have an earned doctorate in the applicable field. The ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses is a must.

Preferred Qualification
Ph.D in molecular and Cellular Biology
