Job Description

AECOM are currently seeking an experience Associate - Mechanical, to join our MEP engineering teams, within our Rail practice. In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of mechanical systems for state-of-the-art metro stations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and functionality.

Responsibilities:

Develop and review mechanical designs for metro station systems using CAD software Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs with other engineering disciplines Perform calculations and analysis to ensure designs meet project requirements and safety standards Create technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for mechanical systems Participate in design reviews and provide input on project feasibility and cost-effectiveness Assist in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical design issues during project implementation Stay updated on industry trends, building codes, and safety regulations relevant to metro station design Support senior engineers in project planning and execution Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and methodologies

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field 10+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in transportation projects, with a focus on vertical assets Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and their application in metro station design Familiarity with HVAC, fire protection, and other mechanical systems in public transportation Understanding of building codes and safety regulations relevant to metro station infrastructure Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication and teamwork abilities Experience with project management tools and methodologies is a plus Willingness to work on-site at metro station locations when required
