Associate Manager Strategic Affairs

Job Description

Our client, a prestigious government entity in Abu Dhabi, is looking for a Strategic Affairs Associate Manager to join their team. The Associate Manager will be responsible for actively supporting the Unit in its activities within the organisation and externally. This role will coordinate professional relationships on multiple levels, Governmental and private, within the UAE and internationally. This role requires ensuring, at all times, that the organisation is well represented in all external engagements, while ensuring that the tasks and requirements are fulfilled.

Please note that, by request of the client, this is an Emiratisation role and only UAE Nationals with a Family Book will be contacted.

The role:

- Conducting all actions in line with the agreed and set policies at the organisation
- Providing administrative, logistical and operational support to the Unit in its internal and external activities
- Establishing, maintaining and coordinating professional relationships on multiple levels, governmental and private, within the UAE and internationally. This includes problem solving, mediating disputes and identifying issues that need escalation
- Contributing input and making recommendations to the team throughout the role
- Preparing for and supporting meetings, including without limitation:
o Logistical and administrative preparations
o Developing pre-meeting briefs and talking points
o Ensuring that the relevant meeting attendees are briefed before the meeting
o Attending meetings and note taking, documenting the minutes of meetings
o Leading the follow-up and implementation of action items arising from the meetings
- Leading research initiatives and developing various types of documents as required; including without limitation country reports, individuals\' profiles, research on specific subjects and other types of documents as needed
- Establishing a solid relationship with the relevant UAE and international stakeholders, and with the relevant individuals within their Organizations, with the purpose of securing positive and productive working relationships that serve the objectives of the organisation

Requirements:

- A Bachelor\'s Degree in a relevant discipline
- Minimum of 4-8 years experience in strategic planning or a relevant field
- Knowledge of the professional working environment of the Abu Dhabi Government, experience in federal and international fields is also a plus
- Experience managing projects, preparing board packs, and government administration
- Proficiency in Arabic and English, 3rd language is a plus.
