Key Responsibilities:
Key transaction data into accounting system with an emphasis data entry
Check completeness and mathematical accuracy of routine accounting documents
Make basic adjustments with the appropriate concurrence of a supervisor
Post accountinag information where the identification and location of postings are clearly indicated
Refer discrepancies to a higher level for assistance
Perform routine classification and/or coding to appropriate transaction amounts
Type and/or file vouchers, invoices, or similar items
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in Accounting or any business-related course
At least a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in general/payroll accounting is preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must have proficiency with various software applications including MS office applications; experience in Peoplesoft is a plus
Ability to manage professional relationships inside and outside of the organization
Must have analytical skills to review financial data and processes
Strong organizational skills; detail-oriented
Able to work at a flexible schedule
