Typical Experience/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, etc.
  • Potentially an advanced degree (ACCA, master\'s degree, ADIT or holding other recognised professional accountancy qualifications).
  • 10+ years of experience in transfer pricing with focus on financial services
Job Role and Responsibilities:
  • Lead transfer pricing projects for clients in the financial services industry, ensuring compliance with local and international transfer pricing regulations.
  • Develop and implement transfer pricing policies and strategies tailored to the financial services sector.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide advisory services on transfer pricing matters, including intra-group financing, restructurings, and cross-border transactions.
  • Get involved at all stages of the project life cycle and take this opportunity to take on a wide range of responsibilities and diversify your skills and experience.
  • Understand a range of complex Transfer Pricing issues and be able to effectively implement solutions through your economic, technical and market knowledge to lead clients through the changing tax landscape while appropriately managing risk.
  • Establish and deliver effective Transfer Pricing solutions and practical planning services.
  • Drive the use of technology to enhance the compliance processes for clients.
  • Lead interactions with clients and confidently deliver advice in a clear, concise and articulate manner. Provide considered views on areas of technical uncertainty, demonstrating a clear understanding of clients\' commercial circumstances.
  • Identify and drive new opportunities for revenue growth from existing and prospective clients, through creating and developing relationships with relevant client/target stakeholders.
  • Manage and support inter-company pricing across supply chains and identify tax efficiency opportunities within it.
  • Manage the timely delivery of multiple projects leveraging junior resources to ensure project profitability is maximized.
  • Review detailed, technical documentation (reports, memos etc.) and provide feedback to junior team members in a way that enables them to learn and develop their tax technical skills.
  • Ensure risk processes are adhered to; consult internally and with the risk team for engagement and or client processes that deviate from the standard.
  • Complete engagement management tasks such as timesheets, client files, billing, collection, WIP review, payouts to other offices, multi-firm engagement documentation and closure of engagements on the system.
  • Communicate regularly with the partner / director on client, people, risk and practice management aspects and seek inputs on all key decisions and issues.

  • Basic knowledge and experience in international tax, corporate tax, value added tax and related tax offerings.
  • Experience in business development, client relationship and client management, including preparing action plans for business development and identifying opportunities for cross-selling.
  • Risk management knowledge and application including documentation, ability to escalate issues quickly to risk management specialists for resolution, incorporating risk management into work environment such that it is a part of the inherent process of engagement delivery.
  • Practice management skills including debtors, timesheets, billing, follow up on recovery with clients.
