Job Summary



The Associate Director will be responsible for managing and executing private credit transactions from origination through closing and providing the regional head with origination support. This role requires a strong understanding of credit markets, deal structuring, and the ability to work cross-functionally with various internal teams such as loan syndicate, syndicate and financing risk, legal, credit and operations to ensure successful execution of deals. The ideal candidate will possess excellent financial analysis, financial modelling, credit writing skills, legal structuring skills, power point, negotiation, and project management skills, along with the ability to build strong relationships with external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities


Deal Origination & Structuring:


Collaborate with senior team members to originate private credit deals. Contribute to the structuring of complex credit transactions, ensuring alignment with objectives and risk parameters. Work with internal stakeholders including credit committees to present deal recommendations and updates Work with external stakeholders where the deal is syndicated

Execution & Transaction Management:


Lead the end-to-end execution process for private credit transactions, including due diligence, negotiation, documentation, and final approval. Ensure timely and efficient closure of deals, monitoring all aspects of the deal flow, and resolving any issues that may arise during the process. Liaise with legal advisors, external consultants, and other stakeholders (including other syndicate members) to ensure the successful execution of transactions.

Due Diligence & Risk Assessment:


Conduct in-depth credit analysis and due diligence on potential opportunities, including financial, operational, and legal assessments. Lead the preparation of internal memos, information memo's and presentations for internal and, where relevant, external stakeholders (ie other syndicate members), addressing key risks and mitigating factors. Provide recommendations to mitigate risks and enhance deal structures.

Internal Coordination & Reporting:


Coordinate with internal stakeholders including syndicate & financing risk, legal, credit, compliance, risk, operations, and accounting teams to facilitate deal execution. Prepare regular updates and reports on deal progress, risks, and status for senior management. Ensure all necessary documentation and compliance procedures are followed throughout the execution process.

External Stakeholder Management:


Build and maintain strong relationships with private credit investors, external legal counsel, financial advisors, and other third parties involved in deal execution. Act as the key point of contact for external partners, ensuring smooth communication and alignment throughout the deal lifecycle.

Post-Transaction Monitoring:


Support post-deal monitoring and ensure successful integration into the portfolio, working closely with portfolio management teams.

Skills and Experience


Skills:
Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge of private credit markets, legal documentation, and investment structures. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a collaborative environment.



Experience:
At least 5 years of experience in private credit or a related field, with a strong track record in executing private credit transactions. Deep understanding of credit analysis, valuation, M&A accounting, financial modeling, and deal structuring. Experience in managing multiple complex transactions simultaneously. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to work with senior management and external stakeholders.

Qualifications


Education:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. An MBA, CFA, or other relevant advanced certifications are a plus.

Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines. Proactive problem-solver with strong analytical and decision-making abilities. Strong leadership qualities and the ability to mentor junior team members. Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
