Assistant Technician
Job Title: Assistant Technician
Reports To: Technician, Sr. Technician, or Foreman
Summary: The Assistant Technician provides essential support to senior technical staff in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. This is an entry-level role focused on learning fundamental skills, following instructions, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Support & Assistance: Assist Technicians and Sr. Technicians with tasks such as fetching tools, materials, and equipment.
• Basic Installation: Help in pulling electrical wiring through conduits, drilling holes, and mounting components under close supervision.
• Maintenance Support: Aid in cleaning, lubricating, and performing basic preventative maintenance on electrical equipment.
• Tool & Worksite Management: Maintain a clean and organized work area. Be responsible for the care and basic maintenance of tools.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Learning & Development: Learn to identify different tools, materials, and components. Develop an understanding of basic electrical principles and safe work practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. A vocational training certificate in electrical studies is a strong advantage.
• Experience: Little to no formal experience required; on-the-job training will be provided.
• Skills:
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions carefully.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and hand-tool familiarity.
• Good physical stamina and ability to work in various environments (heights, confined spaces).
• Strong focus on safety.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
