We are seeking a caring and dependable
Assistant Teacher
to support our lead teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will assist with classroom activities, supervise students, and help with personal care routines such as washroom trips and hygiene.RESPONSIBILITIES :
Support the lead teacher in planning and delivering lessons and activities. Supervise students during class, recess, and other school activities. Assist students with personal care needs, including washroom visits and handwashing. Provide one-on-one or small group support for students needing extra guidance. Encourage positive behavior and assist with classroom management. Prepare teaching materials and maintain a clean, organized classroom. Monitor student progress and communicate observations to the lead teacher.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or equivalent. Experience in early childhood education, classroom assistance, or childcare preferred. Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and empathy. Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate care. Ability to assist students with personal care needs respectfully and safely. First Aid/CPR certification preferred. Strong English communication skills (verbal and written).
