We are seeking a highly motivated Environmental Sustainability professional to fulfil the role of Assistant Sustainability Consultant - UAE National, as part of our growing Sustainability and Net Zero team.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with high-profile clients from various sectors, whilst developing and delivering a broad range of sustainability services.
Accountabilities
Work with senior team members to develop and deliver Sustainability and Net Zero strategies across projects and programmes and throughout the asset lifecycle
Develop internal relationships with infrastructure, real estate and natural resources sectors, liaising with Project Managers and Commission Leads on projects
Embedding Sustainability principles into all aspects of project delivery
Responsibilities
Deliver work in line with client requirements and agreed proposal deliverables
Work with Commission Leads and Sustainability Subject Matter Experts to write technical solutions to meet client requirements
Support in effective and efficient project delivery and development of technical capabilities
Supporting the implementation and monitoring of Turner & Townsend\xe2\x80\x99s Corporate Responsibility and Net Zero strategies.
Qualifications
Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject
Professionally qualified member of a recognised institution
Understanding of sustainability principles as applied in the build environment is essential, including the areas of energy and carbon (Net Zero Emissions), water, waste, circular economy, and biodiversity
Experience of working in real estate and infrastructure (masterplan)
Awareness of environmental legislation and sustainability issues in region
Understanding of net zero principles, including carbon assessment, monitoring and reporting
Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams on projects
Experience of working throughout the lifecycle of projects
Understanding of sustainability accreditation methods such as LEED, Estidama or WELL would be an advantage
Awareness of global, national and regional issues, including the Climate and Biodiversity Emergency and Net Zero Emissions
High quality service delivery, communications and ways of working with others
Excellent communication including writing and presentation skills
