We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Storekeeper to join our team. As a Storekeeper, you will play a crucial role in managing inventory, overseeing the storage of automotive parts and equipment, and ensuring a smooth flow of materials for our operations.
Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, incoming and outgoing shipments, and stock replenishment.
2. Order Processing: Process purchase orders, requisitions, and deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
3. Stock Organization: Arrange and organize stock in the warehouse for easy access and efficient space utilization.
4. Quality Control: Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality, and report any discrepancies or damages.
5. Supplier Relations: Communicate with suppliers to place orders, track deliveries, and address any issues related to inventory.
6. Stock Rotation: Implement a first-in, first-out (FIFO) system to minimize stock aging and ensure the use of the oldest inventory first.
7. Record Keeping: Keep detailed and up-to-date records of all transactions, including receipts, invoices, and stock levels.
8. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including mechanics and procurement, to ensure the availability of required materials.
9. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols while handling and storing automotive parts and equipment.
10. Reporting: Generate regular reports on inventory levels, stock movement, and any relevant metrics.
Requirements:
1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics or inventory management is a plus.
2. Proven experience as a Storekeeper, preferably in an automotive or off-roading setting. (Min 2 years of experience required)
3. Familiarity with automotive parts and equipment.
4. Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
5. Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
6. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
7. Knowledge of inventory management software is an advantage.
8. Physical fitness and stamina for handling and moving stock.
9. Problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
10. Flexibility to adapt to changing demands and priorities.
