A little taste of your day-to-day

• The Assistant Safety and Security Manager takes full responsibility in the implementation of all Safety, Security and Risk Management programs for the purpose of protecting all company assets, including guests, colleagues and visitors.
• Interact with guests and colleagues as well as individuals outside the hotel including, but not limited to Law Enforcement Agencies, Government Officials, other Security Managers and members of the local community.
• Implement a structured review process of existing security policies and procedures as required after consultation with senior management.
• Develop and implement strategies to protect company assets, including loss prevention awareness.
• Develop training in fire life safety and other approved safety programs, such as Bomb threats, Security Awareness, Anti-terrorism practices, First response fire fighting training, Evacuations and Health & Safety awareness.
• Develops and directs the implementation of emergency guidelines and evacuation procedures.
• Carry out Security, Fire Life Safety Risk Assessments for all special events and functions as required within IHG standards.
• Maintain the IHG Fire Life Safety Risk Management calendar, including compliance checks on all Heads of Departments.
• Ensure Quality Evaluation Audits achieve and maintain 100% compliance.
• Continuously monitor the IHG Threat Vulnerability Assessment to ensure compliance with recommendations.

What we need from you

• Excellent communication, both written and oral, in English.
• SIRA Manager Certified candidate is preferred.
• Ability to be self-motivated, organized, and demonstrate good teamwork.
• Customer-driven, culturally adaptable, communicates effectively, and works well with people at all levels.
• Good computer literacy (Microsoft applications).
• Proactive approach and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Security Supervisor role within a 5-star hotel or a similar industry.
• Previous police or military service with an investigation background is an advantage but not essential.
