Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Assistant Resident Engineer - Marine to join our team! In this role you will get to generally assist the Senior Marine Resident Engineer in multiple applied disciplines pertaining to Marine Civil Construction Works, and provide technical expertise, coordination, planning, estimation, evaluation, and administrative support to deliver a high quality marine project to the client.
What You\'ll Be Doing:
Supervise Contractors works to achieve and maintain required operation and maintenance, construction in accordance with the Contract Documents
Participate in Contract Administration
Review contractor\xe2\x80\x99s submissions
Provide all necessary on site direction and issue site instructions
Supervise site inspection staff
Check measure of work done
Observe site safety practices
Monitor the quality of materials and workmanships
Report back when and as necessary to the Resident Engineer
Record and display progress versus program
Prepare progress report
Ensure correctness and completeness of as built drawings.
What Required Skills You\'ll Bring:
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Civil or Marine Engineering (BSc)
4+ years of relevant experience, 5+ years of managing processes, engineering contracts and contractual matters, value engineering systems and procedure and policies (total of 9+years minimum experience)
Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is required.
Relevant IT skills (MS Office 365, Aconex, AutoCAD, AutoDesk etc.
Excellent written and oral communications skills (Mastery of the English Language)
Must also possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on project.
Familiarity of industry practices and regulations are required.
Civil/Marine Construction Experience in: Reclamation, Dredging, Bathometric Surveying, Quay Walls, Backfilling, Compaction, Soil Improvement techniques, Piling, Bridges, Roadways, Causeways, Rock Revetment and Dynamic Compaction etc.
What Desired Skills You\'ll Bring:
Masters Degree (MSc) in Engineering or a related field
MENA Marine Based Experience
Large Marine Reclamation and Marine Edge Experience
Past Leadership Role or Assistant Leadership Role on a Construction Supervision Project dealing with heavy civil works
