Assistant Resident Engineer

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Resident Engineer in overseeing the day-to-day site supervision of construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, drawings, and quality standards. Monitor contractor performance and progress, and report any deviations or delays. Coordinate with other consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution. Review method statements, shop drawings, material submittals, and ensure timely approvals. Conduct regular site inspections and prepare inspection reports. Ensure that construction works are carried out in accordance with safety regulations and project specifications. Maintain comprehensive records, logs, and documentation related to site activities. Assist in resolving technical and construction issues on-site.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Minimum 6-10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably with
consultancy firms
. Strong background in supervisinghigh-rise buildings
and large-scale developments. Solid knowledge of construction methods, materials, and codes of practice. Excellent communication and coordination skills. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and familiarity with construction management software. UAE experience and knowledge of local authority requirements is an advantage. Membership in a professional body (e.g., ICE, ASCE) is a plus.Job Type: Full-time
