Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and proactive
Assistant Resident Engineer / Construction Manager
with 15+ years of experience
to support the Resident Engineer and lead field-level construction management activities. The ideal candidate will oversee contractors, monitor site progress, ensure quality and safety standards, and help drive timely project delivery.Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Resident Engineer in supervising all on-site construction activities. Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring work is progressing according to approved plans, specifications, and schedules. Monitor contractor performance, workforce, and material usage to ensure compliance with project requirements. Coordinate construction activities between contractors, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers. Review and verify contractor submissions (e.g., shop drawings, method statements, material submittals). Lead site meetings and toolbox talks related to construction coordination and safety. Identify construction issues and collaborate on engineering solutions to avoid project delays. Ensure implementation of health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures on-site. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for senior management and the client. Assist in managing construction logistics, quality control, and cost monitoring on site.
