Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE) for O&M to join our team! The ARE for O&M will be reporting directly to the RE. The main functions of the ARE include providing engineering and technical support to the Inspectors and O&M Contractors at site, oversees the day-to-day activities, tests, evaluations, verifications, and documentation of the O&M Contractor\xe2\x80\x99s inspections, preventative maintenance, and corrective maintenance. Furthermore, the ARE will serve as an operational backup for when the Resident Engineer is on leave.
What You\'ll Be Doing:
Reporting to the Resident Engineer.
Ensuring that contractor is complying with project O&M schedules, standard and regulations.
Supervising the regular activities of PPM works, assets surveying and as built drawings and making sure that everything is up to date as per the contract requirements.
Reviewing submittals, shop drawings, variation Orders and following-up the team.
Ensuring that all O&M activities are documented through a proper and updated reporting system.
Reviewing the monthly service reports, monthly progress reports, monthly payment deliverables.
Performs well-defined assignments to the team involving reviews and the observation of work in progress.
Maintains first-level quality assurance to confirm that all the PPM, CM and RM are being carried out in accordance with the plans, specifications, and industry standards.
Provides resolution for technical engineering problems within the assigned discipline, coordinates application of solutions.
Monitors discipline O&M schedules and assists in necessary updates or modifications in accordance with the client requirements.
Provides schedule and progress appraisal data to the Resident Engineer.
Monitors material procurement and deliveries to ensure timeliness in support of O&M activities and schedule within the assigned discipline.
Ensures that tests and inspections are performed, witnessed, and documented in accordance with approved procedures.
Collaborates with construction management to eliminate any hazards associated with the work that may adversely affect the environment or the safety or health of employees.
Ensures that personnel of the assigned group engage in safe work practices in compliance with site-specific safety procedures and industry standards.
Maintains a daily log for permanent record of ongoing O&M activities, as well as discipline data for the final project handover and report.
Prepare weekly/monthly/annual progress reports and presentations using PPT/EXCEL.
Review and ensures all the relative KPI set in the contract are being achieved by the contractor.
Establish Weekly meetings with the contactor accordingly updating the management & client with the relative progress and MOM and formulate action items for assigned projects.
Preparing Enhancements/Improvements plan in accordance with Client/SRE/RE in coordination with the contractors.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Close coordination with stakeholders, authorities related to the O&M works.
What Required Skills You\'ll Bring:
B.Sc. Degree in Civil Engineering
Minimum of 10 years practical O&M experience with no less than 7-8 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in O&M.
Demonstrable experience in all aspects of supervision on major O&M Infrastructure projects.
Must be fully computer literate and able to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, etc. and any project specific engineering and O&M relevant software\xe2\x80\x99s.
Must be fluent in English both written and spoken with an excellent capability in written technical skills as well as oral and written communication skills.
Requires a working knowledge of engineering and construction-related processes, as well as industry practices.
