Vacancy for Full Time Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Draftsman

Role Description

ARTA Building Contracting LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Draftsman to join our growing team

immediately.

The ideal candidate will assist in preparing accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and technical drawings for various villa and building projects. This role requires strong technical skills, accuracy, and a proactive attitude to support both the commercial and technical departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Quantity Surveying:

Assist in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ) from design drawings and specifications. Carry out quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and rate analysis. Support in tender preparation, subcontractor comparison, and material cost breakdowns. Verify subcontractor invoices and assist in preparing interim payment applications. Maintain and update cost records, variation logs, and budget summaries.

Drafting:

Prepare and update shop drawings, as-built drawings, and details using AutoCAD. Modify drawings as per consultant/site instructions and approved revisions. Ensure all drawings comply with company and authority standards. Coordinate with site and design teams to ensure drawing accuracy.

Coordination & Reporting:

Work closely with project engineers, site teams, and procurement departments. Assist in preparing project progress reports and documentation for client submissions. Participate in site measurements and verify actual quantities on-site.

Requirements:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.

3 years of experience

in a similar role within the construction industry (villa/building projects preferred). Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and quantity take-off software (e.g., Plan Swift, Bluebeam, or similar). Strong understanding of construction drawings, BOQ preparation, and measurement methods. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and communication skills. Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
