Job Description

A leading Pharma-retail chain is looking for a highly qualified candidate to fill the position of Assistant Purchasing Manager. This role requires the individual to actively participate in all purchasing activities. The job description for this position involves the following responsibilities: Generate all necessary reports and rearrange the required data through Microsoft Office & Excel system tools Prepare cost analysis reports, profit reports, sales and sales analysis reports Keeping a close eye on price fluctuations and promptly addressing any issues that may arise. Communicate with vendors, locally and abroad, to obtain any information/documentation necessary to initiate a purchase transaction Dealing with foreign shipment invoices, courier companies and clearing agents Review and analyze all vendor invoices and transform them to excel sheets to evaluate the information received and manage inventory of all items Maintaining detailed records to provide to the Purchasing Manager. Update internal databases with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts) Create new item codes & update product details in the system on regular basis Liaise with vendors and warehouse staff to ensure the timely receipt and supply of purchase orders in good condition by closely monitoring their progress after being sent. Managing internal and vendor-related matters concerning products expiry. Overseeing the supply chain process, from our warehouses to our shops, to ensure an efficient and uninterrupted flow of products. Undertaking any additional tasks assigned by the Purchasing Manager. The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications: Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software computer skills specifically in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with a proven track record of experience and expertise in these areas. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
