  • Understand purchasing needs and develop strategies to ensure cost-effective procurement
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Researches and evaluates vendors to compare pricing and services.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers, taking into account quality, delivery, and other factors
  • Manage inventory levels and stock turnover.
  • Ensures quality of procured items and addresses problems when they arise.
  • Confer with plant management regarding volume and import purchases
  • Be in touch with suppliers when required for change in orders or their confirmation.
  • Stay abreast of new development in the field.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Seafood industry.
  • Working knowledge of procurement, logistics and inventory management practices.
  • Great understanding of the market and current market trends.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Well Versed with Import procedures.
  • Good time management abilities.
