Assistant Project Control Engineer (Cost)**

**Doha, Qatar**

**What you will be Doing:**

Cost Engineering:

+ Assist with the development and management of the cost control systems to provide project and company management with accurate financial information.

+ Assist with the preparation of monthly invoices to Clients in accordance with the Contract requirements.

+ Facilitate the development of the work breakdown structure (WBS), interfacing with Procurement, Engineering, and Finance Departments as needed.

+ Perform some independent analysis of data stored in the project management and cost control systems. Creates presentations using graphs, diagrams, and other exhibits to illustrate cost status.

+ Assist with updating the system with cost forecasts.

Planning and Scheduling:

+ Implement and maintains Project Planning and Scheduling.

+ Understand and applies engineering, procurement, and construction terminology, concepts, and relationships.

+ Develop and maintains less complex critical path logic networks and bar charts utilizing this information.

+ Analyze, evaluates, and forecasts current status against an established baseline schedule.

+ Assess the impact(s) of design or construction changes and schedule slippages.

+ Ability to support in generating graphical and tabular reports in a timely and accurate manner.

+ Report schedule status to all levels of project and Company management as well as to the Client.

Earned Value:

+ Implement and maintains an Earned Value Management System on the project.

+ Analyze cost and schedule performance indicators (CPI and SPI).

+ Prepare and maintains project forecasts and status updates.

+ Provide assessment with corrective action recommendations to management.

**What Required Skills You will Bring:**

+ Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, business or related field

+ Minimum 5 years experience in cost control and planning on engineering projects

+ Requires basic engineering knowledge in electrical, mechanical, civil, or a related field

+ Understanding of Project Control principles for major programmes

+ Proficient PC skills including a working knowledge of various Project Controls software, Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of PowerBI

+ Seeks to improve and expand technical knowledge where appropriate

+ Good communication and presentation skills

+ Understanding of the importance of timely reporting and the energy to deliver against demanding deadlines
