General Description
The Department of Law in the College of at PMU invites applications for faculty positions starting Fall semester at the rank of Assistant/ Associate or Full Professor. A Doctorate of LAW with two years of teaching experience at college level is preferred. Holding the rank of Associate and Full Professor is an advantage.
The College's urgent need is for faculty member capable of teaching a variety of courses in English such as: Criminal law; Transnational Crimes; Business/commercial law; World Legal Systems; Cyber Law; International Economic Law; Oil & Gas Law; Alternative Dispute Resolution; Intellectual Property Law.
In addition, the successful candidate must present evidence of:
a research agenda that is current, innovative and impactful as evidenced by, but not limited to, peer-reviewed publications, working papers, public policy contributions, presentations at academic conferences, community and professional work, grants, research related awards and other writing or creative production that contributes to the visibility and prominence of the discipline;
experience with or capacity/potential for high-quality teaching and student engagement;
strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to supervise students;
a commitment to our values of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion as it pertains to service, teaching, and scholarly research or creative activities, including a demonstrated ability to make learning accessible and inclusive for a diverse student population; and
an ability and willingness to contribute to the life of the College of Law and the University through collegial service. With the College's rapid growth in years to come, contributions to service and administration are valued and thus we look for candidates with the interest and capacity to contribute in this manner.

Qualifications & Experience (Required)
For this position, the Law Department seeks bilingual candidates who have a record of scholarly publications in reputable journals and can teach a variety of undergraduate courses in private and public law, such as Global Legal Systems, Civil Contracts, Sources of Obligation, Alternative Dispute Settlement, Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Oil and Gas Law, Commercial Law, Legal Ethics, Criminal Law, Banking and Insurance Law, Family Law, Cyber Law, Media Law, Property Law, Labour and Employment Law, International Law, International Economic Law, Civil Law, Public International Law, etc. In addition to teaching, selected faculty will be involved in academic advising, curriculum development, preparing course syllabi, planning in-class team activities, constructing student assessments, preparing examinations, keeping grade records, holding regular office hours and other standard, non-teaching duties such as institutional and professional services.
