Job Description

Job Summary
  • Awareness and understanding of the Group\xe2\x80\x99s business strategy and model appropriate to the role.
  • Development and management of product propositions, positioning and targeting for building balances, acquiring main bank relationships and deepening relationships in banking portfolio
  • Actively manage the retail deposits and mortgage balance sheet to ensure optimization of returns
  • Drive Deposits and mortgage growth via various initiatives covering pricing, distribution, product differentiation
  • Ensure balanced growth addressing Operations, Compliance and Service Delivery risks
  • Business Operational Risk accountability for deposit and mortgage Products, as well as compliance with all wider operational and regulatory risk frameworks.
  • Rollout global suite of standardized products in market
  • Initiate design and development of best in class global product suite based on local needs by providing feedback on opportunity and co-creating globally scalable solutions with the central team
  • Collaboration with key stakeholders (ID, Segments) in Retail Clients organization to provide direction on market opportunities and execution upon them.
  • Build and leverage strong alliances and business partners network to crystallize differentiated brand propositions across client segments
  • Work with Product Head to Develop relationships with external stakeholders, i.e. Developers, Mortgage Brokers, etc. to ensure the development of the Mortgage product
  • Manage the delivery of regulatory changes in order that they are delivered timely with seamless client experience and in a cost effective manner.
  • High level of critical thinking in cross-functional process analysis and problem resolution for new and existing products

Business
  • Accountability for growth in business drivers and P&L of Retail Deposit & Mortgage Products; adhere to Mortgage Lending performance management standards
  • Expand market share through ML sales volumes, Debit card spends and liabilities balances growth in conjunction with Segments teams
  • Accountable for product management decision including marketing collaterals implementation, and ATL/BTL exposure in conjunction with Segments team
  • Identify and present innovative and creative product solutions, pricing management and cost planning
  • Liaise with ALCO on product/pricing proposal
  • Improve market probe and customer satisfaction
  • Develop analytical framework to analyze deposits and mortgage portfolio and suggest suitable portfolio actions
  • Build and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders including segments, distribution, marketing etc
  • Support the daily activities in terms of campaigns, complaints, operational issues and Service Quality related initiatives
  • Drive service improvement and customer experience initiatives
  • Identify business and operational requirements based upon the business requirements & objectives
  • Lead the development, approval, training, and communication of new products/product changes and their associated customer, operational, system, & process impacts to the various internal organizations
  • Oversight and liaison with credit risk on credit policy and acquisition strategy
  • Develop & conduct specialized training on new products launched and raise awareness & application of relevant subject matter. Additionally, refresher trainings to ensure the product is understood by all stakeholders
  • Provide support and represent Deposits & Mortgage for other departmental projects when required
  • Strive to meet/exceed and maintain service levels
  • Develop a marketing strategy with the marketing team to ensure objectives and interests of the product team are met
  • Monitoring of the local competition and overseas markets to ensure product parity and opportunities and threats are identified
  • Accurate and timely budgeting and forecasting
Processes
  • Monitor internal processes for efficiency and validity pre & post product launch/changes
  • Continually reviewing existing product range, processes and sales channels to ensure SCB products are aligned to our desired target segments
  • Ensure compliance to operational procedures and controls in place
  • Ensure compliance and adherence to the ORF/process universe
People & Talent
  • Coordinate and build strong working relations with various internal stakeholders including credit risk, sales, marketing, operations, compliance, service quality, operational risk, all frontline staff, and retail product team and segments
  • Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from the team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners
  • Ensure up to date training and development assigned
Risk Management
  • Ensure that the Portfolio operates within Bank Operational risk parameters including product audits and compliance
  • The ability to interpret the Group\xe2\x80\x99s financial information, identify key issues based on this information and put in place appropriate controls and measures
