Job Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented

Assistant Procurement Manager

with a strong background in engineering and technical procurement. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in the

GCC region

and a proven ability to manage procurement operations efficiently while supporting engineering teams with sourcing, vendor negotiation, and material management.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to reduce costs and maintain quality standards. Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-efficient deliveries. Manage end-to-end procurement activities including purchase orders, supplier evaluation, and inventory control. Collaborate with engineering and project teams to align procurement with material specifications and project needs. Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and associated risks to support informed purchasing decisions. Ensure compliance with local and international procurement regulations and company policies. Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and reports. Support cost analysis, budget planning, and process improvements.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).

Experience:

Minimum 7 years in procurement roles within the

GCC region

, preferably in engineering or technical services.

Age:

Up to 38 years. Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills. Proficient in procurement software and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.). Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Attributes:

Experience managing procurement for

large-scale technical or engineering projects

. Ability to work in high-pressure environments and meet tight deadlines. Strong leadership and organizational skills with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
