Job Scope:
Manage the end-to-end delivery of capital engineering projects. May be dedicated to deliver a single project of significant size or a portfolio of smaller projects. Responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day management of projects including stakeholder engagement, contractor management, site safety, budget management. Reports to a Country engineer manager/ Cluster Engineering Director. Dotted line to factory director.
Key Accountabilities:
Principal Responsibilities
  • On Time In Full (OTIF) end to end delivery of assigned capital projects adhering to Unilever standards, improving factory digital infra-structure and ensuring safety as our number 1 priority
  • Lead engineering project teams drawing resources from the local, regional and global organisation as well as Unilever Engineering Cluster, Centre of Engineering Excellence and 3rd Party Teams
  • Business Partner planning teams / factory teams for development of the capex program and program management (This role may also be assigned to the Engineering Design Manager)
  • Development and maintenance of good stakeholder relationships
  • Support the CED to develop Cluster Project Engineering Capabilities
  • Realizing CAPEX within target budget, dynamically managed, creating cost saving on new investments, checking and transferring proactively available idle assets globally for new required investments, saving projects and line utilisations
  • Support factories CPT reduction: Realizing Turkey factories CPT reduction by leading automation, digital and other saving projects

Professional Skills:
  • Professional Engineering Skills ( Educated to degree standard in an engineering discipline) preferably electric-Electronic eng, mechanical- mechatronic Eng, automation Eng)
  • Engineering Design Process Management (Working Knowledge)
  • Project Delivery (All sub skills - Fully Operational)
  • Maintenance Principles and Best practice (Working Knowledge)
  • Robotics and Process Automation (Working Knowledge )

  • Knowledge about electrical wiring and installation
  • Knowledge about industrial communication interfaces
  • Knowledge about robotics programming
  • Knowledge about food process, packaging, and end of line equipment
  • Able to read and form electrical diagrams in Eplan
  • Able to use CAD software

Experience Required:
Essential
  • 2-4 Years experience of Project Engineering in FMCG / related Industry or gained in an engineering consultancy environment
  • 2+ years operating in a management capacity
  • Project Management experience
Desired
  • Attained Professional Engineer Status (Or member of professional institution)
  • First-hand experience / track record of delivering capital projects within Unilever or similar FMCG environment
Travel:
Travel required depending on project portfolio – upto 25% within Cluster
