Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Assistant Packing Leader to join our vegetable packing team on our agricultural farm. The role involves sorting, grading, and packing vegetables to meet quality standards and prepare them for distribution. This position is physically demanding and requires the ability to work efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Sort, clean, and grade vegetables according to size, weight, quality, and appearance. Prepare and pack vegetables based on daily orders for hypermarkets, supermarkets, and home delivery. Check and follow daily orders for Carrefour, Union Coop, Lulu, and other clients. Monitor packing workers to ensure smooth workflow and maintain high-quality standards. Oversee vegetable cleaning and assist the Head Packing Leader with daily operations. Pack vegetables into boxes, crates, or containers according to farm or customer specifications. Label and stack packed produce for storage or transportation. Discard spoiled or substandard produce as directed. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, tools, and packing areas. Follow all food safety, hygiene, and quality standards. Assist with loading and unloading produce when required. Support other general farm duties assigned by supervisors.

Working Conditions:

Work may be performed in a cold, wet, or hot environment depending on the produce and season. May involve evening and early morning starts or long hours during peak seasons.

Requirements:

No formal education required; training provided on the job. Physically fit and able to lift up to 20 kg/lbs repeatedly. Able to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods. Punctual, reliable, and able to work as part of a team. Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if needed. Previous experience in packing or farm work is an asset but not required.
