Responsible for caring for elderly, disabled, mentally ill, or injured patients in a home care setting. Performs direct care duties, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.
Duties & Responsibilities
Assist patients in their activities of daily living.
Support patients with ambulation and mobility around the house.
Assist patients with personal care and hygiene.
Provide hands-on care to patients.
Perform routine tasks under the supervision of registered nurses.
Monitor blood pressure, patient's temperature, pulse and respiration rate.
Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the patient and/or patient's family members.
Make beds and perform light housekeeping duties in patient's room.
Observe patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions.
Follow proper procedures for lifting and moving patients.
Provide quality care and safety to patients at all times.
Must be able to perform and adhere to health and safety standards of AJHC.
Requirements
Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or any equivalent
Minimum one (1) year as a nursing assistant experience in home care setting
Physically fit to adequately perform described duties
Self-Directed - able to work with minimal supervision.
