Overview

We're looking for a compassionate Practical Midwife to join our Labor & Delivery team. In this role, you'll support mothers through all stages of childbirth, assist during deliveries, and provide newborn care under the supervision of a Registered Midwife.
Responsibilities

Assist in providing care during antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum stages under supervision Monitor maternal and fetal wellbeing, including interpreting CTG and observing labor progress Support obstetricians and pediatricians during deliveries and newborn care Provide comfort, education, and emotional support to mothers and families Assist with breastfeeding, newborn feeding, and skin-to-skin practices Document patient data accurately in the EMR Participate in quality and safety practices, infection control, and emergency preparedness Escalate clinical concerns appropriately and contribute to safe, patient-centered care
Qualifications
------------------
Diploma in Nursing with additional Midwifery qualification Current Department of Health (DOH) license as a Practical Midwife or Assistant Midwife Minimum 2 years of post-midwifery qualification experience * Strong communication and teamwork skills
