As a Manager, your responsibilities will include supporting senior colleagues in preparing audit strategy, managing a portfolio, organising & reviewing work, as well as overseeing a team of Senior Associates & Associates and being a key client contact. While showcasing eagerness to delve into Business Development, leading with expertise, driving strategic initiatives, and fostering innovation to exceed client expectations and elevate industry standards.

About the Audit & Assurance at Grant Thornton UAE

As an Assistant Manager some of your responsibilities will include:

Leading on audit reviews, agreeing audit timetables, briefing the audit team and monitoring budgets


Ensuring that all work allocated is done profitably and timely in accordance with the firm's professional standards and to the satisfaction of clients and engagement partners.


Managing, motivating, and coaching team members and providing feedback through regular communication


working closely with clients in the Financial Services sector, with a particular focus on banking institutions


Assisting the Audit Partner in establishing audit objectives and overall scope


Planning and coordinating all aspects of audit planning, including resourcing requirements


Checking that audit work papers are properly reviewed and that audit files are completed in a timely manner


Finalising draft reports for management

Skills

Think you've got what it takes to be a Manager? Like the colour purple? Great. Here's a few more boxes we're also hoping you can tick:

6+ years of External Audit experience in a top international firm


Professionally qualified (ACA, CPA, ACCA)


Extensive post-qualification audit experience


Confident in IFRS, internal controls, and consolidation of financial statements


Experience working on complex group audits and delegating workloads accordingly


Able to manage a large portfolio and work on multiple audit engagements at a time


Comfortable using audit software and Microsoft packages


Strong verbal and written communication skills in English


Strong communication, leadership, analytical skills and networking skills required


Strong experience within the Financial Services industry, particularly in the banking domain
