Job Description

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Identify learning needs, design and delivery of the training calendar plan within the Concept, whilst managing a team of learning & development facilitators within assigned territories. Develop learning materials for workshops, self-learning, coaching and on-the-job training with interactive engaging learning tools.
Key Responsibilities :
Learning & Development Planning
Support the Head of Learning & Development in creating the annual and quarterly strategies for management and leadership development across the Home Centre business
Support the Head of Learning & Development with planning the L&D budget for management and leadership development
Using a variety of TNA and Development Centre tools, ensure identification and analysis of learning needs for managerial roles, from supervisor to senior management across the Home Centre business
Work with the Regional L&D Managers to plan and produce quarterly schedules for management and leadership development for all territories and concept
Measure the "Return on Value" of learning interventions within the territories and concept to illustrate tangible benefits
Research on learning & development practices and processes being used by competitors
Learning Delivery & Administration
Work with the Senior L&D team to formulate the annual and monthly calendars for the concept and territories and circulate the calendars in a timely manner
Work with the Senior L&D team to deliver behavioural and functional development programmes for assigned territories and/or concept.
Deliver appropriate individual and group coaching sessions to junior, mid-level population as per the training needs identified
Work with the Head of Learning & Development and territory / concept teams to coordinate with preselected vendors/ service providers to ensure timely provision of training infrastructure, development of content and training delivery
Work with the Head of Learning & Development and territory / concept teams, select appropriate internal and external trainers for delivering the training modules effectively
Monitor provision of high-quality learning interventions to all employees on the basis of identified training needs
Collect employee feedback at the end of every learning & development intervention, and provide the collated report to the Head of Learning & Development
Oversee staff deployment and drive motivation levels of the direct reportees
Learning - Content Design & Development
Understand the theory and application of content development tools and methodologies
Develop learning materials for workshops, self-learning, coaching and on-the-job training
Understand and apply current market trends of eLearning, web-based learning, and blended learning methodologies to their role
Understand Home Centre's learning and development requirements
Work with Subject Matter Experts to design & develop content for generic & specific training programs in line with the training need analysis.
Design learning & development content in line with organizational/ functional requirements to ensure effective and high-quality delivery of training to employees
Produce learning content in English and Arabic.
Develop the portfolio of learning programmes for Home Centre retail team members, supervisory and managerial level
Develop retail/product/customer service training course in consultation with the concept retail heads and brand/category managers
Create trendy designs for learning interventions and materials in line with design standards of Home Centre L&D department
Monitor quality of content development
Works with stakeholders/subject matter experts to review content on a periodic basis.
Department Management
Support (where appropriate) the Head of Learning & Development in the recruitment of new members of the Learning & Development department
Coach and mentor other team members involved with content development for territories and concept
When requested, line and performance manage other employees in the team involved in content development
Support the head of Learning & Development in staff deployment and drive motivation levels of any direct reportees.
JOB SPECIFICATION:
7-8 years relevant experience of which 5 years should have been in Learning and Development (preferably in Retail Industry).
Good knowledge of Retail Industry
Good knowledge of various Learning tools
Presentation skills
Communication & Influencing skills
Planning & Organizing skills
Learning Content Design and Development (Articulate 360 experience is a plus)
Arabic & English fluency is a must
Proficient in MS Office
Good Knowledge of Photoshop is a plus
Video creation and editing
