Job Description

The job holder will be responsible for development of Product quality, safety and compliance standards that will meet quality and efficiency standards. Will also ensure the final products meet the needs and requirements of Home Box Customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Certifications and registrations for all territories - SASO / Dubai municipality & Emirates Authority for standardization and Metrology
Product lab testing - Liaison with supplier and testing labs (Intertek, SGS, BV) for all Homeware products testing
Confirming the testing standards based on the protocol to the supplier
Ensure QMS claims, Supplier claims, PQR (Product quality report), shipment claim, SED (Short/Excess/Damage) and WMS trouble coded damage for all the locations are done within the TAT in coordination with the Buyers
Debugging and supporting corporate supply chain team for any product issue raised in weekly SOH
To check on the inner packaging of the products
Third party inspections at source with Smart Fortune
OK to ship process to be designed for products
Designing protocols basis updates for products
Store visit to monitor and get store feedback on product quality, assembly issue and packing issue
Coordinate with the Imports team during payment for any inspection failure or claims
Work closely with finance team to validate monthly claims summary
Weekly meeting with all category buyers to follow up on the product quality issue
Other miscellaneous reports
People management - Manage and monitor team development
Basic Qualification:
Post-Graduate / MBA with Mechanical or Industrial Engineering background
Preferred Certification in Quality Management System: ISO 9001, ISO 14001
Minimum Experience
6-7 years Home & Furniture Retail (Homeware QC)
Skills and Capabilities
Knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, PPT
Technical understanding and knowledge on QC / QA of Homeware products
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in fast paced environment with attention to detail
