Job Summary:




The

Assistant Manager - Events Management

, under the Communications and Student Affairs Division, will support the university community by coordinating all aspects of internal and external events, from planning and consultation to execution and post-event follow-up. This role involves working with university stakeholders to understand event objectives, recommending suitable campus and off-campus venues and vendors, and overseeing logistics. The Event coordinator ensures smooth event flow by managing timelines, coordinating resources, and maintaining clear communication. The goal is to deliver successful, memorable events that meet university's expectations and provide a high-quality experience for all attendees consistent with the nature of AURAK, the North Star University of the northern Emirates.

Job Purpose & Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications and Education




Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.


Work Experience




6-8 years' experience in a university setting engaged in event planning.


Required Knowledge and Skills




Excellent oral presentation and written communication skills in English. Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, including the ability to build consensus and communicate professionally with students, faculty, and staff. High attention to detail and accuracy in processing student documentation and maintaining confidential records. Ability to exercise sound judgment, make well-informed decisions, and uphold professionalism when dealing with sensitive student issues. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated resilience and adaptability, with the capacity to learn from setbacks and adjust to changing demands. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Teams, SIS, and Blackboard. Availability for occasional evening or weekend work to meet deadlines or support student needs.

Language Proficiency Required




Fluency in spoken and written English, and Arabic is highly desirably.
