Assistant Manager - Data Team
Location: Dubai, UAE
Salary: AED 15,000 per month (Competitive package, subject to experience and qualifications)

Reporting To: Manager - Data & Analytics / Head of BI
About the Role
We are a dynamic Fintech company looking for a driven and analytical Assistant Manager to join our growing Data Team. In this pivotal role, you will be at the heart of our data-driven decision-making process. You will be responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights through powerful dashboards, comprehensive MIS reports, and robust BI initiatives. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to support strategic goals and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
BI Development & Reporting:

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools (Tableau/Power BI/QuickSight) for various business functions.
• Own the creation and distribution of daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications for reporting solutions.

Data Analysis & Insight Generation:

• Perform deep-dive data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Support ad-hoc data analysis requests from stakeholders in departments such as Product, Marketing, Risk, and Operations.
• Provide data-backed recommendations to guide business strategy and operational decisions.

Data Governance & Management:

• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all reports and dashboards.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to define and improve data structures and pipelines.
• Participate in establishing and upholding data governance standards.

Team & Stakeholder Management:

• Act as a key liaison between the data team and cross-functional business units.
• Manage and coordinate the workload of junior data analysts (if applicable).
• Clearly communicate complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Drive the adoption of BI tools and a data-centric culture across the organization.

Project Leadership:

• Lead and manage discrete BI projects from conception to delivery.
• Drive BI initiatives that align with company objectives and enhance analytical capabilities.

Qualifications & Key Skills

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 4-6 years of proven experience in a Business Intelligence, Data Analysis, or MIS role.
• Preferred: Prior experience within the Fintech, Banking, or Financial Services sector.
• Technical Skills:
• Essential: High proficiency in at least one major BI tool (Tableau, Power BI, or Amazon QuickSight).
• Essential: Advanced skills in SQL for data querying, manipulation, and extraction.
• Essential: Strong expertise in data analysis, dashboard development, and MIS reporting.
• Desirable: Knowledge of Python/R for data analysis.
• Desirable: Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Soft Skills:
