Role Summary
The Assistant Manager - Accounts and Finance - Apparel Group Dubai will provide strategic and operational support to ensure accuracy of financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and overall financial stability. This role will oversee accounting operations, budgeting, compliance, and financial analysis while supporting senior management in decision-making and mentoring junior finance staff.

What You'll Do

• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow
• Oversee daily accounting activities such as accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and local accounting standards
• Support the implementation of internal controls to protect company assets
• Contribute to annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts, monitoring variances and preparing analysis reports
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and risk management improvements
• Coordinate with external auditors for statutory audits and ensure timely completion
• Monitor tax compliance and adherence to financial regulations and company policies
• Conduct financial analysis to support profitability strategies and cost control
• Track cash flow and manage liquidity in coordination with banks
• Mentor junior finance staff and support cross-functional collaboration for business alignment
• Contribute to special financial projects, process improvements, and ERP system optimization

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CA, CMA, or MBA in Finance preferred
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, preferably within retail or corporate sectors
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance processes
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle and MS Office tools
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and leadership skills with ability to guide junior staff
• Knowledge of UAE tax regulations and international accounting standards
