Job Description

Job Summary: The Assistant Maintenance Supervisor supports the Maintenance Supervisor in overseeing the maintenance operations of equipment, machinery, buildings, and facilities. This role ensures that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company policies and regulations. The Assistant Maintenance Supervisor may also lead a team of maintenance technicians and coordinate repairs, preventive maintenance, and inspections. Key Responsibilities: 1. Maintenance Operations Support:

• Assist in planning, scheduling, and supervising maintenance activities, including repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues.
• Ensure all equipment and systems are functioning optimally to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and equipment conditions.

2. Team Leadership & Coordination:

• Supervise and provide guidance to maintenance technicians and contractors.
• Assign work orders and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.
• Train new maintenance staff on safety protocols, equipment use, and company procedures.

3. Safety & Compliance:

• Enforce safety regulations and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.

4. Inventory & Budget Management:

• Assist in managing maintenance supplies, tools, and spare parts inventory.
• Help track maintenance expenses and recommend cost-saving measures.

5. Emergency Response:

• Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests and breakdowns.
• Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours emergencies if required.
