The Arbor School is a growing school situated near the Dubai Marina area of Dubai, in the UAE. The school opened in September 2018 and currently has over 1,000 children on the register. The school offers the National Curriculum for England with a focus on Ecoliteracy, Sustainability and Environmental Justice which are incorporated into the curriculum across all year groups. We are currently looking for an outstanding Assistant Head of Primary: Key Stage 1 or 2 (experienced or aspiring) to join an expanding Primary leadership team from August 2023.
JOB SUMMARY As the Arbor Primary School Assistant Head: Key Stage 1 or 2, you will serve as an integral part of the student journey for Arbor\xe2\x80\x99s 5-7/7-11 year olds, ensuring an innovative, challenging and balanced Primary School curriculum (based on Ecoliteracy Principles and Concepts/an enhanced English National Curriculum) translates over to world class teaching and learning pedagogies in every quarter of the school. This is an expansion post to the already in place leadership team, with the role being pivotal in providing targeted, proactive, and responsive leadership to engage all stakeholders in well researched Key Stage 1 or 2 teaching and learning practices; all developed and delivered in line with the Arbor vision and promise. The core vision of this role is to ensure that the Key Stage 1 or 2 student journey and entitlement for all students is of the highest possible standard within the UAE and beyond, aligned across Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Reporting to the Head of Primary, you will support and promote a culture which is focused on growth, purpose, and a sense of belonging and flourishing in all aspects of the student educational journey within either Key Stage 1 or 2, where the school celebrates a diverse community of staff and students, united by their creative and innovative engagement towards world class learning. REQUIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE:

• Native-level English language skills
• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in education or equivalent, with a PGCE or QTS, from a reputable university
• Minimum 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience of educational leadership in British schools
• A track record of outstanding teaching and learning and an ability to create a caring and nurturing classroom environment
• A sense of humour and an excellent work ethic
