The Assistant Groomer supports the grooming team in delivering high-quality grooming services and ensuring pets have a safe, comfortable, and positive experience. This role is ideal for someone who loves animals, has great attention to detail, and is eager to learn professional grooming skills in a premium salon environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist senior groomers with bathing, drying, brushing, and preparing pets for styling.
Perform basic grooming tasks such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and sanitary trims (as trained).
Handle pets gently and confidently, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of grooming stations, tools, and salon areas.
Monitor pets' behavior and health during grooming, reporting any concerns immediately.
Support in welcoming clients, checking pets in/out, and providing updates as needed.
Maintain grooming tools and equipment, ensuring they are sanitized and in good condition.
Follow salon standards, safety protocols, and uphold the premium service experience.
Qualifications & Skills:
Previous experience working with animals (in grooming, veterinary, boarding, or shelter setting) preferred but not required.
Passion for animals, patience, and gentle handling.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to follow instructions and willingness to learn professional grooming techniques.
Physically fit, able to lift and handle pets of various sizes.
High standards of cleanliness and organization.
